Bluegrass music developed in the Appalachian region of USA in the 1940s but has its roots in traditional English, Scottish and Irish tunes, as well as the blues and jazz.

This workshop offers opportunities to play folk melodies and take turns improvising around them. You will learn about the style and develop some jamming skills.

Is this class for you?

Open to novice and intermediate/advanced ability with violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, mandolin and piano.
Listening and modest reading skills are very helpful.

This class will not perform at the end of the week.
