Participants will learn about stylistic and technical differences between playing classical viola and various non-classical genres, such as Celtic, Bluegrass, Klezmer, Jazz and Pop/Rock. A brief introduction to several of these genres will be covered through listening and learning pieces as a group.

Is this class for you?

For intermediate to advanced viola players.
Good listening skills and sight-reading ability are very helpful.
This class will not perform in the end-of-week concerts.
